I bought this fan for a WhisperRoom (music booth) that I use for recording. I need a fan that circulates air so it doesn't get too hot inside and is quiet enough not to disturb the recording. This is a very quiet fan at low speed, and the faster it runs, the louder it runs. to be expected. Speed control could be better. When I initially turn the fan on to its lowest level and turn the knob to run faster, the fan hits max speed halfway through, so there's not really much speed control when I'm fully utilizing the controls. If there is a way to fine tune the knob I would really like to know. Otherwise it serves its purpose.
