Diffusion Tensor Imaging Software: LabSpeed

The ability of managing large amounts of information at multiple levels (data set specific level, project-wide, and institution). The fact that it integrates with many different software packages from other vendors has been very useful when troubleshooting problems related to lack or loss of interoperability between systems used across institutions. Not all vendors support Labspeed yet so there may be some incompatibility issues. I would suggest getting certified for DQS before using this system as you will likely need training sessions available through your organization's IT department if they are not already running labspeed courses. We use lab speed at my school along with our existing electronic health record program. This allows us to share patient medical documents within an EMR platform without having to save them separately or print out patient reports. The most useful thing about lab speed is that it allows us to use all of our instruments at once, which saves time. The software itself is not very user friendly, so there are many steps required to set up a new instrument. I would recommend using this software for any scientist who has more than 1 instrument. It saves time and makes things easier when you have multiple people doing experiments.
