I wish I had bought this scale. I am a potter and weigh varying amounts of clay from 1/2lb to 10lb. Every time I put something on the scale it always returns to a different starting point, so no consistency. If you're weighing heavier items and accuracy isn't an issue, this might work. Again, maybe you could invest in a scale that actually works. I couldn't find any dents, dents or other physical damage. I know how to adjust and reset the scale so that doesn't happen. I also tried some wd-40 just hoping I had no luck. +++ I called the company directly because my Amazon 30-day return period had expired. All I had to do was explain what happened and they initiated a return, apparently the item is under warranty. So I change 1 star to 3 and hope the next one is better. let you know!
