This adapter is advertised as 300-600Mbps depending on the network but just isn't capable of it. Perfect Linux compatibility (which is rare for USB WiFi adapters). I tested this on Ubuntu Bionic (18.04) on a Dell laptop and on Fedora 30 Linux on a Ryzen desktop. The adapter worked immediately after plugging it in with NetworkManager. However, speeds I've observed have ranged from 10-70 Mbps, while other WiFi devices (including an Android phone) on the same network hit 300 Mbps and above, and wired devices consistently 600-700 Mbps (tested consecutively ). I think the problem is that this adapter (or its driver) doesn't support channel bonding - mainly because channel bonding is very rare in 2.4GHz networks (due to the small number of adjacent channels) and this adapter doesn't once can see my 5GHz network even though it is advertised as 5GHz capable. (I renamed my 5GHz SSID to something else to test this theory, and NetworkManager didn't even list the 5GHz network SSID even though other devices could see it.) So if you're out of luck as I get the networks 5 GHz. With this adapter, the best speeds are 10-70Mbps.
