This is a hard plastic material of the right size and shape for Eljer toilets at a reasonable price. People who say it broke due to regular use must either be senior executives or have a BMI above the 3rd standard deviation, which is possible and could explain the hardware failure, so keep that in mind. For me it's easy to install, has the same hard plastic screw and nut as other toilet seats I prefer to corroding metal (it's the 3rd toilet seat I've had to replace in about 7 years) and is priced that doesn't add up. no joke. Don't waste your time and money when you need a replacement seat that fits the mold. This is Revain's smartest option. The only downside, in my opinion, is that the seat isn't a slow-closing hinge. But still really good value for money. Will update when I come across broken hardware, but I seriously doubt it will break or break unless I try.
