I am returning this device (model TX 3.5" USB 3.0). When I connect to a USB 3.0 port and copy files, at some point during the copying process (usually within the first 10 seconds) eventually "lock" or freeze completely. The only way I can get my system to stop copying is to unplug it from the USB port. This is very annoying. I have various 3.0 Tried ports and different computers and drives just to make sure it wasn't something on my end but I've got the same results I have a different USB 3.0 enclosure that I'm using and it has always worked at flawless speeds. 0 just doesn't work. On the plus side, it works great with large drives (I've mostly used 3TB). I've also noticed the same issue noted by others of the case loosening a bit after attaching the back plate. You just can't screw it tight enough for the aluminum to fit snugly against the front and rear plastic ends. A little annoying, but not super critical. although this speaks volumes about their overall quality. Screw it tight enough that the aluminum is snug against the front and rear plastic ends.
