Review on Continental ContiPremiumContact 5 205/55 R16 91H summer by Janis Liekmanis ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Feel free to buy, for such a price, the quality is simply amazing.

When writing about tires, many people overlook to include the dimensions and production information. and this is a really significant point. After completing 2022 kilometers of running in a variety of conditions, I submitted a review. Therefore, we recommend the German-made 205/55 r16 V91 tire. The Volkswagen Jetta has it. 2.2 is the working pressure. (the size of the spare tire is 205/55 r16 H91, and it was manufactured in 2022. I'll state right off the bat that the 2022 rubber is more pleasant to the touch than the German rubber is. Aside from the speed index, I didn't detect any other distinctions between the two.) The Dunlop Fastrespons tires, which came from the salon on the Jetta, will be used as a point of comparison. It took me a very long time to decide between Michelins, Michelins Conti 5, and Dunlop Bluespons. The N. Tagil-EKB track is where I spend the majority of my time (those who are familiar with the track will find that it is simpler to take a review). This, along with the reasonable cost, was a contributing factor in our decision to go with this particular brand of rubber. all of the tires must be correctly balanced, which might range from 5 to 15 grams per wheel. When the road is dry, the Dunlop's handling becomes more precise. on a wet Dunlop, the tire "floated" swiftly, already at approximately 80 kilometers per hour on a water film (I'm not talking about deep puddles here; all rubber floats in them). Although Conti's handling is confident and predictable, you will still need to get used to experiencing slight delays if there is a significant change in direction. This does not provide in terms of day-to-day driving issues, particularly those that arise in the city. Because the typical cruising speed on the highway is between 110 and 140 kilometers per hour (km/h), I didn't want to listen to the rumbling and noise, and as a result, based on the reviews of other users, I chose this rubber. The rubber truly does not howl, it does not buzz, and it moves silently; yet, it completely conveys the state of the coating under the car. This noise is not noticeable in theory on fine asphalt (by the way, the noise on Jetts is not horrible), but coating noise arises on coarse asphalt. Having studied the behavior of tires on various asphalts, you are able to afford high-speed maneuvers depending on the road, which is felt, and this is a positive aspect of the situation, in my opinion. You always have a clear understanding of what kind of surface you are driving on, and you are aware of this at all times. As a direct consequence of this, the noise does not irritate, indicating that the acoustic comfort is excellent. After driving for 500 kilometers (or getting used to it), the noise level decreased even further. You may confidently travel up to 160–180 miles per hour when the weather is dry. When it's raining, I never go beyond 130 miles per hour. The city navigates the pits, policeman, and railways without any difficulty. does not hit the suspension like Dunlop. To be a bit more objective than the reviews that were written after only 100 kilometers of running, which can also be found on this website, I waited to write a review until after I had driven more than 2022 kilometers and visited diverse road conditions. The tires, in general, offer a comfortable ride, are easy to control, and, most importantly, behave in a predictable manner. The current pricing is perhaps the main drawback (moreover, German versions are not yet available for purchase, and 2022 versions all come with the H index). Despite this, I would recommend it to anyone who spends a significant amount of time on the track. I was a big fan of Dunlop as well, with the exception of the early aquaplaning. My next set of tires will most likely be Michelin Primacy or Sport 3 models. Let's see what the tire mileage will be for the Conti5, since many reviewers also keep this indicator in the red.

Pros
  • A comfortable ride that deftly navigates the ocean
Cons
  • Handling, or more specifically the swiftness with which it reacts to changes in steering position
