2000 Excursion V10 Gibson SS Exhaust

First off, the SS system was cheaper than the aluminized one! Great offer! The package arrived in excellent condition, all equipment and instructions are present. I installed the system myself in 3 hours with no difficulty including removing the old exhaust. The only issue I had was one of the clips that came with the kit broke, but that was easily fixed with a better replacement at the parts store for a few bucks. All in all this is a solid easy to install kit that offers a good Ford V10 setup. I had trouble finding exhaust reviews for the Excursion and am glad I went with the Gibson kit. Sounds great for a V10 in my opinion as most people have complained about the exhaust from the 6.8 liter engine. But not me, you must understand that this is not a V8 and the kit makes the exhaust a little louder than stock. This is a cat back kit that won't weigh on your wallet and gives you that good ol' feeling of glad I decided to buy it. The drone in the cockpit is minimal and only occurs around 1500-1750 rpm or around 50-55 mph on my Excursion. The kids said the exhaust didn't bother them or distract them at all in the third row of seats. Gibson has a name for the quieter side of the exhaust and that's what I wanted and got from them. Don't think this kit is ineffective because it isn't. Great handling, sound and looks. Thanks Revain and Gibson for a great offer!
