We have $2,000 memory foam bedding that is 3-4 years old even though it claims to have a 20 year warranty but our bodies hurt. In just a few years we couldn't sleep on one side for more than 1.5 hours without waking up and we had to switch sides and we felt nauseous all night and morning. There are many mattress pads and we have studied them carefully. Narrowed the circle and finally tried this one. It works! No or minimal pain since we added it and we don't feel any hotter than before. It also makes the bed look more like a feather bed than a horrible flat memory foam bed. In the future, we will be picking up the Sterns and Fosters pillowcase again for the third time and not touching the memory foam again. But this topper saved the day and we've slept better in three days than we have in a year. It's a great new bedding feel, and likely a requirement for those with memory foam or old, worn, or overly firm beds. This topper is thick enough to provide the extra cushion we need without being too soft and absorbing heat like an egg carton or other overly soft foam product. For us it was definitely worth it!
