Emerson Remote

I received this used TV without a remote and had to get up to change channels / adjust volume etc. I ordered this Emerson remote using the model number / serial number and it worked straight away. I don't watch much TV (I don't have cable) but when I do I don't want to get up and watch channels - I'm 78 and enjoying my chair in front of the TV.
