Review on HJ Garden Thermostat Temperature Controller by Marcus Zimmerly

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Confusing structure but great little controller

As others have written this is a cheap but good little unit. There is no manual but I found this YouTube video very clear on wiring and programming. Just watch XH-W3002 Thermostat Wiring and Programming on YouTube and this guy from Australia will walk you through everything step by step. Note: The 220V version is used but the programming is the same. If you're using this for cooling, just set P1 to the temperature you want to turn on and P0 to the temperature you want off. Example: Mine is set to turn on when the room reaches 28 (P1) and turn off when the evening air comes in, so 26 (P0). They would turn them over to warm themselves. I hooked this up to a 12 volt fan that runs on batteries from a solar panel in our garden gazebo.

Pros
  • Three buttons for easy operation, set start temperature, end temperature, set temperature, start delay.
Cons
  • Expensive
