Bought to prevent objects from falling out the back of the car.
It stands so high that objects can pass under the grille and fall out. The tiny clips that hold the mesh shut are so difficult to remove that it's not worth putting on and taking off, limiting last-minute grocery choices. However, when I use it, it comes in handy. I found that it was already pulling out the factory installed clips from the side of my 2017 Acadia, suggesting it's built to work as well.
