These are great LED strip connectors but very finicky to make a good connection between the strip contact points and/or wires to create long connection paths. I use them to connect multiple light strips for under cabinet lighting and I have three suggestions: 1) Practice connecting them before installing them; 2) solder them for a guaranteed connection; and 3) connect all lights before beginning installation on any surface. I've used speaker wire to make my long runs and it worked great once I installed a system to connect each wire to a small metal strip and I'm happy to say my kitchen has never been better looked. Update: I found that some of my connections were bad which is why the cabinet lights I installed were flickering due to the vibration. As I said before, soldering makes the best connection and it becomes unnecessary when you can solder the wires directly to the LED strips.
