Review on Travelon Anti-Theft Classic Shoulder Women's Handbags & Wallets with Crossbody Bags by Amy Walker

and i really like brown now

i bought these because i needed a new travel shoulder bag as my old one was starting to wear out. I bought the chocolate color because it was the cheapest and I went back and forth to spend extra money to buy black as I will be wearing it almost every day when I travel and I didn't want the brown to contrast. In the end, however, it didn't become a problem, and now I really like brown. I have recently returned from a 2 week trip to Morocco where I used the bag and am basing my review on that experience. Pros: 1) all the amazing compartments - there are four in total. 1 on the back facing me, 1 main compartment, 1 on the outside facing away from me and another smaller 1 on the outside starting halfway up the zipper. 2 of these compartments have an additional lobster clasp for extra security. I didn't expect so many subjects but they are amazing. In my bag I had the following: (inside pocket): maps, boarding passes, emergency earrings, travel glasses; (main compartment): my passports, pens, lip gloss, credit cards, lotion, Wet Ones Travel Kit, 2 smartphones, Warby Parker glasses case (ie it's bulky) on travel days; (outer compartment): spare phone charger, other random/rotating knick-knacks (often swapped items between main pocket and outer pocket depending on how easy I wanted to access the item); (smaller outer pocket): 2 containers for travel medicine, contact lens case, travel petroleum jelly, sometimes coins, this is where it will crumble. . The straps are pretty strong. I've even attached a full water bottle to it a couple of times and was concerned thinking it might put too much pressure on it, but it held up all the weight well. I would also attach a neck pillow to it when traveling for easier access. 3) Adjustable Straps - Heavy duty straps that are easy to adjust in a hurry. I also liked being able to attach my purse to a chair (or other infrastructure) so I don't have to worry about it accidentally going away if I take it off and get distracted for a few moments. 4) Interior color is peach and I love it. Gives me a splash of color and happiness every time I look inside. 6) a flashlight - nice to have, but I confess I didn't use it that much. Once during a trip I went camping and tried to use it but it wasn't the most powerful so I went with the flashlight that comes with the battery instead. I wish the flashlight was accompanied by a small whistle (the kind all North Face backpacks have). Time . CONS: 1) Color - as I mentioned earlier, I chose chocolate because it was one of the cheapest. Again, it's not as bad as I thought, but the paint has to go somewhere and the pros don't, haha. 2) somewhat bulky - the compartments absorb each other. As soon as I fill compartments, I sometimes overflow and only realize it when I push things into another compartment and realize that there is no more space. Sometimes that can be frustrating. On the one hand I wish the compartments would hold their shape better so I can manage space and organization, but on the other hand it's useful to be able to expand some of the compartments if I need to add a few extra things. ) Credit card slots - the credit card slots in the main compartment are not the most secure as my credit card kept falling out. This is probably due to the material the inside is made of - it's slippery so I guess that's to be expected. 4) no internal zip - in the main compartment I usually expect a zipped pocket for things like coins or other things I don't want to slide around as freely. However, there is nothing in the bag, which is sometimes quite uncomfortable. Maybe the smaller outer compartment is for that, but I wish the main compartment had an inner zip.

Pros
  • good construction
Cons
  • some problems
