Review on Experience the Art of Origami: Introducing the Kidstoyo Origami Thousand Cranes Kit by Nicole Mcleod

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Ideal for group projects

Love bright colours; The kit came in 20 rainbow spectrums of different colors. Note the smaller paper size of 3" x 3" instead of the more typical 5" x 5" (but it's a cute little bird that takes up less space). Make cute cranes! Ideal for a group project. ***** UPDATE ***** It took us about 7 months to fold a set of 1000 paper cranes with two people. I have uploaded photos of our project so you can get a better idea of what the kit looks like and how our project turned out. I don't know of a cheaper/better deal to get 1000 sheets of origami paper. Folding 1,000 cranes is more labor intensive than you can imagine. Each of us could stack about 20 birds a week, a few minutes a day, or just an hour. Both of us could stack about 40 birds a week. We could probably make it faster by putting in more time, but be aware that your fingers (not to mention your arms, neck and back) will get tired after a while! I think this could be a great project for a large group (school or class?). I'm still happy with the set 7 months later than I was when we bought it!

Pros
  • Paper
