Improved luggage rack for Triumph TR7

Firstly I am restoring my 1980 Triumph TR7 Cabriolet (build date July 1979) so I buy parts wherever possible at the cheapest prices without sacrificing quality. The KYB struts are listed on all UK parts sites as the best upgrade currently available to the stock front struts and prices range from $100-$150 for a set of two. I was very skeptical about buying these from Amazon but you know, roll the dice and return them if they are fakes with poorly printed KYB stickers. This happens occasionally at Revain, I even received counterfeit retro video game cartridges once. So at a price that's too good to be true I ordered these shelves. I am happy to say that they are new, genuine and work great! I saved a lot of money this time and am very happy with the results. I'm just glad my little Triumph only needs a few parts because based on previous experience with car restoration this hobby can cost you a fortune even on a car with relatively cheap aftermarket parts like old Triumphs! Last tip. If you are in the restoration business you should do all your shopping (even on eBay) before you buy. To make these A-pillars I ordered (among other things) lower ball joints and polypropylene bushings from Victoria British, strut covers, polymer fenders and a few other non-sprung items from Moss Motors. I also recommend purchasing an updated spring kit from whichever supplier you choose (I prefer Rimmer Bros. for the most part). Luckily my car was already equipped with it. Much luck!
