A strong tactile element of this design that makes it very comfortable for the person spinning the timer. Excellent design in that regard, so I'm giving it 5 stars. Too bad it costs so much that many and especially those who need it cannot buy it! My $0.02 (which I don't often share, but that price is ridiculous). It is good to note that THIS ITEM IS NOT WORKING WHEN WE RECEIVE IT, hence the many negative reviews on this product ---- TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, my son BENDS the battery's negative metal tab inwards. This is a dual tab battery holder design, not a spring/tongue battery holder design that allows battery current to flow through the two pins pressed together. (Not related to this post but useful nonetheless, in many cases where products with a two tab battery holder will not work, it is often the case that the battery has previously been corroded internally and the battery tabs need to be ground down. This corrosion with sandpaper (or an old nail file) to ensure metal to metal contact so electricity can flow.
