I bought these for my daily outdoor walks in New England. When I opened the package my first thought was that they will be returned. They were a lot thicker than I expected and the material was weird too. The material feels slippery and almost spongy (think snorkeling material) lined with soft fleece. But I decide to give them a try. Medium fits well if not a little tight around the waist so if you're between sizes go up a size. I liked the zip pockets so nothing gets lost. While there is no dedicated cell phone pocket, the pockets are deep enough to easily stow a cell phone. Well, after a 45 degree walk. November day with a cold wind, I'll say I'm impressed. The legs were warm and the pants don't pinch - very comfortable. Exactly what I needed! Last but not least they are VERY warm if you go indoors so these pants are for cool weather.
