These new aftermarket side supports easily screw into my GMC's Envoy battery. These rods appear to be better quality metal as the hex heads on the old rods did not hold their shape when tightened. I found that the lack of space under the hood required an adjustable wrench rather than a more appropriate outlet. However, using the adjustable wrench, I was able to fully tighten the new posts and the post heads were undamaged and held their shape. As I found with the old original messages, if you don't tighten them enough, the messages will weaken and you'll end up with a "dead battery".
