One of my best friends talked me into trying a wool belly pad last year and now I'm hooked. This is my biggest attempt so far. It's very thick and durable, perfect for protecting my desk. They're great for pressing heat transfer vinyl, although I use two stacked on top of each other to make sure I don't damage my desk as I typically use temperatures in excess of 300 degrees. Since I started using wool pads I have not had to use a small portable ironing board at all. I am very happy with this wool rug. As a parent of children with autism, issues are close to my heart.
