Received this to power my lipo charger with the leads I already had. Works well and doesn't get hot at all. It's a heavy feel that gives me confidence in the quality and that it dissipates heat well under a heavier load. For those of you interested in radio control, be aware that this is not the ideal way to power your charger as the input voltage from the car's accessory socket varies widely. This can cause your charger to look a little weird on the output side as the voltage varies between 11.8V and 14.3V which is what the charger regulates its output. In my case (isdt chargers), even when set to 1.4A, the output current varies from 0.9A to 3A from time to time. This is not the fault of the adapters, although that is in the nature of the Electrical system lies system of your car. I just thought I'd mention it. This product has served me well for a long time and has not fallen apart like other cigarette lighter accessories I have had in the past.
