Used this a few times to run the 12v pump from my ATV. I smelled burned and it was the melting and burning of this device. I turned it off and threw it in the pond to put out the flames. The 10 amp fuse has worked so far and has never blown. Scared me to death. that a lot of amps should take the fuse out, so there it is.

I have various devices with banana plugs or bare cable ends. Of course, my emergency jump pack and my vehicles have lighter sockets. This adapter makes it very convenient to connect devices. I also have several adapter cables with banana plugs on one end and other plugs on the other end. I was about to do something but this one is compact and just what I wanted with 5 pin connectors.

I do a lot of electronics which requires me to quickly plug in 12V for troubleshooting and testing devices that can handle the current there. I bought a pair of these, one worked fine and drove a 1.5 amp water pump from a 10 amp 12 volt DC supply. The second I used on a 5 amp water pump and the fuse blew so I borrowed the fuse from the first and then that one blew. I checked both fuses and they said 5 amps 125 volts. Why put a 5 amp fuse in the outlet and then say it's rated for 10 amps? Now I have to wait 4 days for 10 lousy $10 10 amp fuses to arrive because the product page has false and misleading information!

Looked like a great product, I plugged this into my jump box's power port to do some testing, it worked for about a minute then nothing, no power .
