Review on Tokina At X 100Mm F2 8 Macro by Vedavyas Fleming

I was looking for a macro lens to replace my old 60mm Nikkor lens that was given to my son. As I browsed existing Nikkor deals, the more affordable ones didn't get stellar reviews. I bought this Tokina on the strong recommendation of Ken Rockwell. Limited use so far, I like it. As with any macro lens, depth of field is limited, so aperture helps. Images are clear with accurate color reproduction. This lens has an aperture ring so it is compatible with 35mm cameras. it is a zoom lens. It's not like this. This is a straight 100mm lens that also works well as a short telephoto or portrait lens.
