Not sure if I have a broken one but when I connected it to my Surface Pro 7 it crashed. The computer became very slow and the mouse started responding intermittently. I disconnected the dock, rebooted and everything was back to normal. I thought this one would be more portable, but the dock itself is very heavy, and the power adapter is even heavier, so it's not very portable. I may have underestimated it because I thought I could carry it with me instead of turning my laptop into a real PC, so I have it. He should be back at Microsoft by now. ****Update 9/15/20***** I may have been too harsh in my review as it turned out that the dock was not causing the conflict and the computer was the one causing the conflict. The Surface Pro 7 doesn't fare particularly well when it comes to its ports.
