It does what it says on the tin and does it well enough considering the price (about $30 at the time of writing). A few caveats: if you're not moving, the direction to your final checkpoint (an arrow on the screen telling you where to go) may not be accurate. This little guy has a crappy compass, so he can tell exactly which direction you're looking based on the differences between your current position and your past positions. The compass (like most cheap electronic compasses that rely on sensitive electronic magnetometers) is not reliable at all. It works well outdoors (away from rebar and steel in walls and electrical circuits), but is still nowhere near as reliable as a true analog compass. However, this thing will get you where you need to go. within maybe 10 or 20 meters on the side. Not bad!
