As some reviewers have pointed out, the battery cover is a problem, mainly because the instructions don't provide enough information. The two small arrows are roughly opposite the two small dots on the main body. I've had my BackTrack for almost 2 months now. Once you master the functions of the 2 control buttons, it will be very easy to operate them. It's pretty accurate in determining your saved location. I did a test and saved some space in the middle of the front lawn. I turned the device off and then back on while standing in the driveway a few feet from the house.
