Must have GPS in portable GPS navigators

I have two other portable GPS navigators but this is the only one I use all the time. When using other modules, I have to keep my directions open, as they are very cumbersome to use. With BackTrack, you just turn it on and off you go. Satellites will be found in minutes and you will be directed to your chosen waypoint. Best of all, you don't have to traverse the path before BackTrack orients itself. Other units require you to follow a good path before they can orient themselves and give precise instructions. Often this can be 50-100 yards at a fast pace. I use BackTrack for hunting, mostly to find parking or get back to the ATV in the dark, and walking through the woods in the dark waiting for the GPS to orient itself is impractical. The only downside is a maximum of three waypoints and the inability to name each waypoint. The compass function also works very well.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • unreliable
