Bushnell GPS tracker

Web images do not indicate device size. Its diameter is 3 inches, but it is comfortable for an adult to hold in hand. The main goal was to help my wife find a car in a large, crowded parking lot. It is in order. You have to wait for the device to lock onto satellites to mark a car or other location - the initial lock takes too long - typically 30 seconds or more, but once saved and brought out again results in a quick lock. The use in the field will be interesting. Obviously it only offers a straight line leading to the saved location and that's not possible due to the terrain and obstacles. A digital compass can be useful when searching mailboxes and caches when they provide direct headings and not just geographic references. There are 3 icons for saving places labeled as car, house and star. Of course, you can use any of the save locations to save the save point. The first 2 were blank from the factory, but the star icon pointed 999 miles (the maximum distance supported on the display) with compass heading northwest from our southern California winter dig. I believe it was installed in a factory somewhere in China. Knowing all this I would still buy it and keep it in my wife's car (I could probably use one in my car as I sometimes need help finding a car and the car key lock only works a short distance away!)
