Review on 🧭 Bushnell BackTrack GPS Personal Locator by Charles Collier

Suitable for city trips

I took a trip to Vietnam in March and April this year. First I tried to find a GPS with maps for this area but it seems there are currently no GPS maps in this country. Since I was planning to take two pieces of luggage that could be used as backpacks (one for me and one for my fiancee), I wanted to travel light. All I needed was a device that could take us back to our hotel and this device did the job. Being in Hanoi we had a rough idea where to go and also took 2 maps. We ended up getting lost on the path we were trying to follow on the map due to the lack of road signs in many places. The great thing was that it didn't really matter if we got lost because when we got tired of walking all I had to do was grab the handy Bushnell BackTrack GPS and it directed us back to our hotel. The downside was that accuracy dropped by about 15 meters. I stopped to look at the GPS and noticed it told me to go straight 15 meters and my fiancee told me we were right in front of our hotel. (Anyone who's been to Vietnam knows the buildings are packed like sardines.) It was raining that day, so maybe the GPS was a bit inaccurate. may not always be accurate, but I highly recommend this if you are traveling to a country that does not have GPS maps. In addition, the device is quite large. probably the size of an average person's palm. I was hoping that the LCD dial would be the size of a wristwatch screen.

Cons
