Pros: Birds don't perch on top to poop in the water. In my chicken coop, the water will get into the straw and feathers, but it won't be excessive. Cons: After filling, it's a bit difficult to put it back upside down to avoid spilling. The bowl must be rotated to lock it. It can be done, but there is a small problem.
