I bought this because even in the dead of New England winters, I love walking the beach no matter the snow, wind, and freezing temperatures. I couldn't be happier with it! Part of the hood offers some protection from side winds; Part of the mask keeps my face and ears warm when it's REALLY cold, but it's also easy to tuck under my chin when I don't need it. The neck piece goes under my coat and makes the perfect warm scarf. It is easy to put on and take off and is very soft and fits me despite having a large head and having trouble finding a hat. And he does all this without giving me "hat hair". It's just the perfect plan!
