I used them in a carbon arc soldering torch. Carbon arc brazing is pretty outdated and original consumables are hard to come by, but they're very close. They burn out a little quicker than the ones I remember and they're brittle, but they're cheap and there's a lot of them in the box so it's not a big deal.
