I bought these to convert my vintage mountain bike that I use for trail biking to wider modern handlebars. They work for it, but they won't get me on a legal mountain bike trail with it. These things are lightweight, very cheaply made, and will most likely break if subjected to anything more than light stress. bike lanes? Of course these will be fine. If you intend to ride them fast enough, which could result in injury if you crash because they come loose, I would avoid it. If you're anxious to get even a little bit of airtime, avoid it. They got two stars from me because they will work for my purposes, but they are definitely rubbish.
