Review on Tuffinix Minute Round Visual Timer by Amanda Anderson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Revain's product listing for size

We got this mechanical timer for our son who often finds it difficult to complete tasks in a reasonable amount of time. The visual representation of the remaining time was a great advantage of this timer. First, at just 2.25 inches in diameter, it's a lot smaller than Revain's listing suggests. This definitely put us off as we were expecting something the size of a desert plate based on the pictures. It can still be used, but overall it's pretty dainty. The body is metal and the back cover is magnetic. Holds up pretty well on the fridge. It is wound up by turning and counts down to 60 minutes. The chime is fairly weak when counting down from a few minutes, but when using full wind for smaller crowds the chime is fine, although still not as powerful as a traditional egg timer. The red countdown indicator is good. feature and does the job as we hoped. Our son has a visual representation of the time remaining, which motivates him to keep completing the task. Overall: a good little timer. The disadvantages are the small size compared to the listing and the short call time when counting down from sixty.

Pros
  • is misleading. Attach the timer to your oven, fridge or other metal surface with a strong magnet on the back.
Cons
  • Too long to wait
