This brass scriber has a nice weight around the perimeter, is well balanced on the front, has a secure knurled set screw, is durable and sacrifices accurately (thin ) rim, comes with spare wire cutters and screws even if they've chipped, and includes instructions for both metric and imperial measurements. I have previously purchased the same tool from another brand and returned it after a single use due to an unreliable thumbscrew, a brittle disc cutter and poor contact between the shank and the adjustable surface. Relief towards this product. On its own, it's a tool that I really appreciate.
