I ordered it not knowing what to expect. I've had gooseneck lights before and was disappointed, either the light was too heavy and would sink over time, or the flexible arm could/didn't bend to the way I need it for my use. It doesn't have any of those problems. The clamp is large, it's an old 40" TV that I use as my main monitor and is about 2" thick at the top where I have my light source. was very dense and keeps the light very well. I really like the brightness control as I often work until very early in the morning. Being able to toggle the brightness/color allows me to relax when I go to bed. Overall I give it Lamp from 4.5 stars at the moment. I've only had it a few days so can't speak to longevity. Half a point because the control module is too close to the lamp itself for me. Ever since I put it on Top of monitor it lands quite high on side of monitor Not really a problem but a nuisance I bought this light with my own money, paid full price and got nothing for this review.
