1st pattern replaces 2nd pattern. As a rule, all collets of different sizes are required. There are many kits for all my tools and beats. Whatever took me so long to try these ❓😳. Works for all bits from tiny to 1/8" - I haven't tried more. Keep in mind that they can be difficult to remove/detach once on your instrument. I have a couple of Dremels, as well as a recently purchased "Apex M8" as an extra wireless in this category that has 30,000rpm that's easy to hold (nearly impossible to find). The only thing is that it's HARD to grab. REACH A THIN HEXAGONAL AREA TO RELEASE WITH THE TOOL PROVIDED OR WITH WHAT IS ALSO DIFFICULT TO RELEASE AFTER TIGHTENING. With a 8220 12v cordless Dremel this should be easier. I find that the detachable nose piece isn't curved up as much, which gives more room to grip. Btw it's stronger and HIGHER QUALITY than the included APEX multi-chuck (sorry Apex) I don't have a Dremel multi-chuck either NEVER ACCESS N, both will be unavailable for several months. I can still buy 2 packs. for my other two dremels.
