Immediately upon receipt of this item I entered a variable kWh cost for this unit, plugged it straight into an outlet, plugged it into the 3 pin power cord from my dehumidifier. Use the function key to scroll through the screens. Works well! The next morning I check how much energy was used overnight. No backlight, no display at all. Turn it off, bring it in. Connect. The backlight works briefly, all numbers are zero. Then no backlight, no display at all. I reported it and they immediately sent me another device. Exactly the same results. I'm disappointed.
