This is a great tool and we've used it before to make sure the picture we put on the wall is oriented horizontally. And it was pretty easy to use. We attached one end of the painting to the wall with a wood screw and then put this level on top of the painting to line it up nicely, marked the other side and then inserted the screw for the other end. it was so easy. It's versatile as you can even measure objects at 45 degrees, not just 180 degrees. There are a few things that could be better about this tool - it's a little heavy and bulky, it doesn't make it too difficult to use just a little unwieldy, and secondly, the materials used for the tool are plastic, but a little low quality. But overall very helpful and helpful
