Review on ๐Ÿ’ฅ Monroe Load Adjust 58610 Shock Absorber for Enhanced Performance by Dexter Pullen

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good balance shock absorbers

These are coil balance shock absorbers that add about 10,001,100 pounds of lift. They are typically mounted on pickup trucks that haul heavy loads most or all of the time, such as trucks. If they don't carry a heavy load, they move the car much harder and can cause driving problems on dirt roads or on ice and snow, since the rear axle "bounces" off the ground much more on uneven surfaces, such as washboards or potholes. . EXPLANATION: I called Monroe Technical Support and got the following information: Monroe 58610 is designed for 1994-2001 Dodge Ram 1500 and 2500 4WD pickup trucks. Monroe 58615 is designed for the four-wheel drive Dodge Ram of the same model year. The only difference is the orientation of the mounting bushings; hydraulic response, spring rate, length and travel are the same. Summary: The simple economy load leveling damper for Dodge Ram pickup owners who don't need adjustable rate shocks or don't want air actuated shocks or airbags. UPDATE: July 2015 Just got back from a 2000 mile trip with these shocks on a truck and carrying my 1500 lb Cabover RV. The shock absorbers work great and I'm very happy with them so I've increased my rating from 3 to 5 stars. The truck sits much more level with the camper installed than with the original shocks and the ride quality (damping factor) over bumps and bumps in the road is at least as good as when this truck was new. I would buy them again.
