Review on πŸ“ Starrett 13C 6-Inch Double Square - Optimized with Hardened Blade by Scott Mcgowan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Best double square money to buy

Well made tool I will pass on to my son. I used a square from one of the big stores. It was good for construction, but it didn't have the precision I needed to take accurate measurements when making fine furniture. About a month ago I bought a Double Square (I won't say the name) that was 30% less than Starrett. I thought I got a good deal. I was wrong. There was no fit, finish or overall quality. The blade rumbled in the grip. I sent it back the next day. I ordered a Starrett and when I received it I knew it was worth it. Just by holding it in your hands, you can feel that this is a quality tool. Heavy cast iron handle. Well made. The thumbscrew turns with little effort and doesn't bind - the threads are well made. The blade does not dazzle and is easy to read. The 90 degree blade and handle angle is absolutely precise. worth your money.
