There are two downsides. First, the black levels for watching movies are pretty bad. It works, but in a dark scene you will find it difficult to see the details. Second, the built-in speakers look like an afterthought. They are, but you have to be in a very quiet room to hear anything clearly. What's wrong, the picture is bright and the colors are vivid. I play it via its mini HDMI input and as a secondary monitor with my laptop via usc c. And for those purposes, it works great. The included flip cover also works reasonably well, but I plan to slip it into a padded slot with the laptop in the bag. So I like it and even with two flaws I still like it and I'm glad I bought it.
