My wife's 98 For Windstar minivan had a check engine light that kept chasing us. Bought a code reader and erased the code at least 5 times. The light kept coming. I've been reading some repair manuals and thought I might have to replace the upper intake manifold gaskets, 4 hours of work or at least pay the shop 5 bills. I tried this much cheaper solution along with a new breather gasket and stopped checking the engine. Hopefully it stays that way, it's been there for a while and no more problems with weird dropouts at start and rough idle :-)
