I purchased the mesh extension with my Nighthawk 6700 router, no problems with the router. The first extension I received didn't show the 2.4 and 5.0 ads. I worked on the object for an hour via chat. Couldn't get it to work. NetGear finally said I should give the Revain back. did it Got a replacement. Same problem. 2.4 and 5.0 bulbs did not light up. We worked with tech support for about 1.5 hours, this time over the phone. Couldn't get it to work. Eventually the support rep said he wanted to speak to a tech who admitted there is a bad batch of these devices on the market. So be warned when ordering this device. It might not work.
