Review on Snappy Trap Universal Drain Kit For Bathroom Sinks by July Sin

Revainrating 3 out of 5

For the DIY'r I figured how tough could it be.

Working on plumbing installed in 1966, I had my work cut out for me. The distance to the garbage disposal to the wastewater is very long. The 'flex' tubing doesn't flex much, you can't really use it as shown on package. Ultimately I got it together leaving an outlet for the RO system. It can come in handy but the entire system (like any other part for this kind of job), but it can also come part easily. The washer ends have to be the right distance from the end of the tubing in order to make a good seal and connection. Plus, depending on what you're fixing, space can be extremely limited and moving around in a tight space has the potential to pull up or push down already installed parts.

Pros
  • Prevents hair and debris from going down the drain
Cons
  • The kit may not be up to code in certain areas
