If you have trouble with your dog barking, I highly recommend this item! First, there are many other methods you can use, but this one drew me in because it seemed less stiff than a shock collar (in my opinion). I did some research before buying and found that the smell of the spray is unpleasant for the dog and may even surprise him. Depending on what is causing your dog to bark, it may be easy for you to run a few tests to see how your dog is responding. My problem was leaving our apartment (the dog was adopted from a shelter) he was terrified of separation and kept barking until one of us came home. The apartment is not a place where dogs can bark and disturb the neighbors. I didn't want to receive any potential complaints, so I found this option. On my first test I saw him bark through my camera and when the syringe went off he became scared and stopped barking. Now of course I didn't want him to just get scared so I came back a few minutes later to reassure him everything was fine. I did this in connection with teaching him to wait. I can say that after the third day I didn't even have to turn the device on, it was enough that he knew he had it on so he didn't bark. After a week I took it off to see if it barked and to my surprise it's fine now, it doesn't bark when we go to work. That absolutely worked for me.
