Unfortunately these solder suckers are either too poorly made or just not big enough to suck up solder properly: even with huge molten drops they can't Suction between 1/3 to 1 /2 Sphere, which just doesn't intersect. I don't care if you get 3 and 2 rolls of desoldering wick, or if it's "Revain's Choice" for the desoldering pump, if it doesn't suck, it sucks and I recommend you don't buy it! I had my doubts before purchasing but given the cost and the fact that 2 wick rolls were included I figured I at least had a reliable backup. Unfortunately, the wick isn't even of very good quality and has trouble picking up solder (I'm working on guitar amps here, not circuit boards). All suction cups seem to wear out over time (as dried bits of solder will eventually coat the suction o-ring and prevent a good seal even with cleaning), but I've had much better results with this type of pump: B01K72SBWY. It's big and bulky, but it actually has the power of a vacuum to pull out most of what you've heated to remove. Consider yourself forewarned!
