Overall, excellent gates! My review speaks more against the ridiculous beast of a son I have than the gates, because NO OTHER GATES presented the slightest challenge for my son.We Bought 2 of these for my toddler, who is tall and very strong and unbelievably mechanical. he is able to give it a hearty shove and wiggle the rubber pad off the sticky foam parts, which dislodges it just enough to make the top not latch. Also, he figured out that he can easily open it by pulling up on the bottom part of the gate, so it no longer keeps him out, but it's tall enough that he doesn't climb all the way over yet, so they present a worthy obstacle to keep him busy for a couple minutes before he escapes into or out of wherever he's supposed to be.They keep my 1yo daughter and several friends' dogs and our cat where they need to be without any issues, so for a normal kid or pet I think these are awesome and well worth the money. My only problem is that they slide off the foam adhesive part pretty easily, and have to be adjusted JUST right or they unlatch on top.
