Overpriced, very loose fit

The description says there are no wires but mine had bright red wires around external connection points. It's made in China so I'm worried there might be lead in the wire, it's not copper wire, it's just red wire. Also the fastening of everything loosened like a goose. Is there some kind of white mat in the photo? You don't understand and I didn't get any instructions.
