My mother walked outside in Elga all spring, summer and part of autumn until it got too cold and then I took her inside. I keep her in a decent sized cage with a tray underneath but I hated cleaning the tray because it was so big and she didn't go to the toilet in the same place every time. Reading the reviews on this tray I thought I'd give her a try and to my utter surprise she somehow knew this was the place for her to go to the bathroom every time, without fail. I have no idea how she found out, but this tray made cleaning her cage 99% easier. All I have to do is dump the contents after 2-3 days, disinfect with a spray, rinse and put back in the corner. The side protection was particularly good, as sometimes urine ran out of the cage. Side protection keeps everything in the box. I would add that their urine contains a lot of mineral deposits. To remove the debris from the bottom of the tray (I don't actually use absorbable fillers in it), CLR dissolves it in addition to cleaning that the debris can be wiped up to the elbow with a little lube and won't damage the box. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to make cleaning up after their furry bunny friend easier. The only complaint I have is that the latches on the bars aren't wide enough to hold the crate on the side bars if she decides to move the crate, but I think that's because the bars are farther apart. specifically on my cage.
